Indications and target species

In cats :
Treatment of flea infestations ( Ctenocephalides spp. ) And ticks ( Rhipicephalus sanguineus ).
Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for 4 weeks.
The new fleas arrive die within 48 hours of resting on the animal.
The drug can be used as part of a flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) treatment strategy when it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

The drug has an acaricidal yield that persists for up to 1 week against ticks ( Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus).
If Dermacentor reticulatus ticks are present as the drug is applied, all ticks may not be eliminated in the first 48 hours, but were eliminated within a week.

The drug did not demonstrate an immediate acaricidal effect against ticks, but it did demonstrate persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 4 weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus and up to 3 weeks against Ixodes ricinus .
If ticks of these species are present as the drug is applied, all ticks may not be eliminated in the first 48 hours, but will be removed in a week.

Contraindications
In the absence of available data, the drug should not be used on puppies less than 8 weeks old and / or weighing less than 1 kg, or in puppies less than 8 weeks old and / or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use in sick (eg systemic disease, fever, ....) or convalescent animals.
Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions can occur, including resulting in death.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to fipronil or any of the excipients.
Do not administer orally.

Special precautions
The drug can cause irritation to the mucous membranes and eyes. Therefore, contact of the drug with the mouth and eyes should be avoided.
