PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Antiemetic and anti-nausea: it is used for the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting and dizziness (loss of balance).

INDICATIONS
It is used in the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting and vertigo (loss of balance), typical of naupathias (sea, car, train, plane).

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient (dimenhydrinate), to any of the excipients or to other closely related substances from a chemical point of view; in particular to mepyramine. Children under 2 years of age. Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

DOSAGE
Coated tablets: In naupathias (seasickness, car, train, plane sickness), nausea and vomiting can be controlled with a single dose of half a tablet Adults (50 mg), the effect of which lasts approximately 4 hours. ; this dose, if necessary, can be repeated, for prevention purposes, every 4 hours (3 tablets in 24 hours). Suppositories: To be used 1-3 times a day in adults. Suppositories should be used when the oral route is not practicable, for example in case of difficulty in swallowing.

INTERACTIONS
If you are following a therapy based on antidepressants, hypnotics, sedatives or tranquilizers, in order to prevent their excessive sedation action (reduction of reactivity).

SIDE EFFECTS
With the use of antihistamines, drowsiness, dry mouth (dry mouth), photosensitivity (excessive sensitivity to light), disturbances in accommodation (impaired vision), disturbances in urination (difficulty in urinating), headache ( headache), anorexia (decreased appetite), nausea, allergic skin reactions. Less frequently dizziness (loss of balance), asthenia (decreased ability to exercise muscle), insomnia (especially in children), euphoria, tremors, hypotension (decrease in blood pressure), tachycardia (increased heart rate) and, for high doses, especially in children, convulsions.
