Mepitel One PROTECTIVE DRESSING WITH SILICONE CONTACT LAYER

Indications:
contact layer dressing designed for the management of a wide range of exuding wounds such as painful wounds, lacerations, abrasions, surgical incisions, partial thickness burns, traumatic wounds, skin tears, skin grafts, radiotherapy skin lesions and limb ulcers lower. It can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds or fragile skin.

How to use:
clean the wound according to clinical practice and dry the periwound skin;
choose a dressing size that covers the wound and periwound skin with a margin of at least 2 cm beyond the area to be treated. For larger wounds more margin is required. If more than one dressing is required, overlap the dressings taking care not to clog the pores;
remove part of the protective film using the overlapping edges and apply the dressing with the contact layer on the wound;
remove the remaining part of the protective film and spread well, in order to ensure good adherence to the periwound skin;
apply a secondary absorbent dressing on top of Mepitel One if required and favor its fixation. It can be left in place for up to 14 days, depending on the condition of the wound and periwound skin (exudate must be free to pass through the dressing and pores must not be blocked), or as indicated by your clinical practice.

Features:
it does not adhere to moist surfaces, such as those of open wounds. It conforms to the pores of the skin, covering a greater skin surface and distributing the tearing forces at the time of its removal, avoiding skin stripping phenomena. It seals the wound edges, ensuring containment of exudate and minimizing maceration.

Storage:
the sterile conditions of the package are guaranteed, unless the inner wrapping is damaged or opened before use. Do not resterilize.
