Mepilex Heel ABSORBENT DRESSING IN POLYURETHANE FOAM
Indications:
indicated for a range of exuding wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure sores and traumatic wounds, eg. lacerations and injuries that heal by secondary intention.
How to use:
clean the wound according to normal procedures;
dry the periwound area thoroughly;
remove the protective film and apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not pull the dressing during application;
for best results, cover at least 2 cm of healthy skin around the perimeter of the lesion with Mepilex. If necessary, cut the product;
if necessary, fix Mepilex with a bandage or other system.
It can be left on site for up to 7 days.
Features:
absorbs exudates, maintaining a humid environment and minimizing the risk of maceration. Maintains a moist environment and facilitates removal of necrotic tissue, an initial increase in wound size may occur.
Contraindications:
do not use if you use substances containing oxidizing agents such as solutions based on hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide).
Storage:
storage in a dry environment and at temperatures below 35 ° C (95F); do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not use the product if the package is not intact. Sterility guaranteed only in unopened package. Disposable product. Do not resterilize.
