CALCIUM ALGINATE BASED MEDICATION

Indications:
partial or full thickness, moderately to highly exuding wounds (e.g. pressure sores, leg ulcers, diabetic and ischemic ulcers, postoperative wounds and fungiform carcinomas). It can be used on clinically infected wounds under medical supervision and treated with appropriate therapy.

Features:
Calcium alginate dressing that gels quickly, has a high content of mannuronic acid fibers, obtained with an industrial process that produces a soft and conformable dressing with low fiber release and high integrity when wet. Forms a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate. Excess exudate is absorbed in this process. Algisite M utilizes the well known benefits of moist healing, accelerating the healing of difficult wounds.

Warnings:
make sure that the tampon inserted into the cavity, sinuses etc. be removed. Do not use on patients with known allergy to alginates.
