Various situations can damage the peripheral nerves in a reversible or irreversible way and lead to real pathologies: <ul>

How to use
We recommend taking two tablets a day, one in the morning and one in the evening.
Ingrediants
L-Acetyl Carnitine
L-acetyl carnitine plays a vital role in the energy production process. It prevents cell death (apoptosis), increases the production of acetylcholine and stimulates the synthesis of membrane phospholipids, thus helping to stabilize the fluidity and integrity of cell membranes.
Furthermore, L-acetyl carnitine slows down the natural cellular deterioration that can occur in situations of oxidative stress and aging (especially in nerve cells).
Some scientific evidence documents that repeated administration of L-acetyl carnitine reduces neuropathic pain ( Chiechio S. et al, 2007 ) and prevents the development of peripheral neuropathies following treatment with chemotherapy ( Campone M. et al, 2013 ).
Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha Lipoic Acid is a powerful antioxidant. It is active against numerous radical species (hydroxy-nitrite and peroxy-nitrite radicals, as well as superoxides and hydroperoxides) and is able to directly regenerate vitamin C, vitamin E and increase the levels of glutathione and CoQ10.
It is readily absorbed and transported across cell membranes, where it exerts its antioxidant action. It maintains its activity both in the aqueous cell compartments (cytoplasm) and in the lipid ones (cell membrane).
The alpha lipoic acid present in Assonal (Matris ® ) is formulated on the basis of an innovative technology, the so-called "Fast-Retard", which guarantees a rapid (Matris ® Fast) release of a part of the active ingredient, and a slow (Matris ® Retard) for the remaining portion. This promotes maximum absorption of the active ingredient.
Citicoline
Citicoline, naturally produced by our body, is a substance useful for the health of nerve cells.
It contributes to the maintenance of cell membranes as it provides precursors for the synthesis of phospholipids, including sphingomyelin, which are important for the structural integrity of nerve cells.
Citicoline, therefore, favors the conduction of the nerve impulse and protects neurons from the damaging action of free radicals. Citicoline is a water-soluble molecule with a bioavailability greater than 90%. Pharmacokinetic studies in healthy adults show that citicoline administered orally is rapidly absorbed and, less than 1%, is excreted in the faeces (Richard C. et al, 2004).
The citicoline present in Assonal ™ is citicoline Cognizin ® , a registered trademark of Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., LTD.
Cognizin ® is a pure raw material, free of allergens and recognized by the Food and Drug Administation as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe).
Furthermore, the European Commission has authorized the placing on the market of Cognizin ® as a new food supplement (Novel Food) pursuant to EC regulation no. 258/97.
Vitamins of group B
The B vitamins present in Assonal ™ help to maintain normal energy metabolism.
In particular:
- Vitamin B 5 contributes to the normal synthesis and normal metabolism of some neurotransmitters;
- Vitamin B 2 contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress;
- Vitamins B 1 , B 2 , B 6 and B 12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue;
- Vitamins B 6 and B 12 contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
