PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
100 ml contains 10 g of povidone iodine (10% iodine).

EXCIPIENTS
Skin solution: glycerol, macrogol lauryl ether, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, purified water. Skin spray solution: glycerin, nonoxinol 9, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, anhydrous citric acid, purified water, propellant: nitrogen.

INDICATIONS
Disinfection and cleaning of injured skin (wounds, sores etc ...).

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the components. Use with caution in subjects with thyroid disease. Do not use in children younger 'less than 6 months.

DOSAGE
Cutaneous solution: it is applied 2 times a day directly on small wounds and skin infections. A quantity of 5 ml of solution (containing 50 mg of iodine) is sufficient to treat an area of about 15cm per side. For skin antisepsis: apply a protective layer of the brown solution until a medium intensity color is obtained: a superficial film is formed that does not stain. Skin spray solution: hold the vaporizer 10 cm from the skin and press the valve with the bottle in an upright position by spraying a medium intensity brown protective layer twice a day and allow to dry: a protective antimicrobial adaptivity film is formed prolonged. After the treatment, a bandage can be used. A quantity of 5 ml of solution (containing 50 mg of iodine) is sufficient to treat an area of about 15 cm per side. Attention, do not vaporize with the bottle tilted, avoid inhalation or breathe in the vaporized liquid.

STORAGE
Skin spray solution: store away from heat, tightly closed Skin solution: store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees centigrade.

WARNINGS
Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, it is advisable to consult your doctor. For external use only. The use, especially if prolonged, can give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, interrupt the treatment and adopt suitable therapeutic measures. Discontinue treatment at least 10 days before performing a marked iodine scintigraphy. Avoid use on mucous membranes. In case of use for prolonged periods on large body surfaces or under occlusive bandages, in particular in children and in patients with thyroid disorders, perform tests of thyroid function. In pediatric age use only in case of real need and under medical supervision. The accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious and sometimes fatal consequences. Avoid contact with eyes.

INTERACTIONS
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents. Do not use products containing mercury salts or benzoin compounds on the treated part at the same time.

SIDE EFFECTS
In some cases burning or irritation; in this case, stop the treatment. The reaction of iodine with injured tissues can delay healing. It can interfere with thyroid function tests.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Use only in case of real need and under direct medical supervision.
