Therapeutic indications

Antivomiting, anti-nausea, antivertigo in motion sickness.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents (13 to 18 years of age) 1 tablet half an hour before travel; if necessary, repeat the dose after 3–4 hours, up to a maximum of 4 tablets in 24 hours. Children (6 to 12 years of age) Half a tablet half an hour before travel; if necessary, repeat the dose of half tablet after 6-8 hours, up to a maximum of 2 tablets (4 half tablets) in 24 hours. The tablets have a score line which makes it easy to divide them into two halves.

Overdose

Symptoms Sedation which can range from a mild numbness to a deep sleep. Psychotic symptoms are reported. In children, following overdose, states of excitement, insomnia, nervousness, tachycardia, tremors, myoclonia, convulsions may occur. Treatment If the drug has been recently taken, perform a gastric lavage. In case of severe hypotension administer dextran 70 by intravenous infusion. Symptomatic therapy may need to be provided.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients or to other antihistamines. Pregnancy and breastfeeding Preterm and full-term infants.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Do not give the medicine during pregnancy. It is not recommended for use in newborns and premature babies, as well as during breastfeeding.

Special warnings

Use with caution in subjects suffering from glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, other urinary retention syndromes, intestinal obstruction, bronchial asthma, epilepsy. Lomarin contains lactose: use with caution in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose / galactose malabsorption.
