Dilatan Plus Cryothermic Anal Dilator Set 2 Sizes 23/27 mm

Dilatan Plus 23/27 are cryothermic anal dilators ideal to be heated or cooled according to the needs that arise.

Indications

Dilatan Plus 23/27 anal dilators are particularly suitable for the following anal pathologies:

• Stenosis (narrowing) of the orifice of scarring or idiopathic origin
• Hypertonus or sphincter spasm sustained by hemorrhoids
• Essential proctalgia
• Fissure, with possible secondary constipation
• Prevention of postoperative stenosis after surgery for haemorrhoids and fistula

The caliber 23 is indicated in the treatment of sphincterial hypertonus forms, in actinic practice, often associated with stenosis of the anal canal, and in tight anal canal stenosis. In spasm and in the treatment of chronic anal fissures associated with severe sphincter hypertonus, the use of the largest dilators is recommended (27 and 30).

Features

Dilatan Plus 23/27 anal dilators consist of an inert plastic casing with a large disc at the base to facilitate a good grip. They contain a thermo-accumulator gel capable of bringing the benefits of thermotherapy or cryotherapy in various anal pathological conditions.

How to use

In cryotherapy, cool the dilator in the refrigerator and use it or immerse it for 10/15 minutes in water and ice. In thermotherapy, heat the dilator to be used in hot water (no higher than 50 ° C) for about 10/15 minutes.

Then spread the dilator with cream or lubricating ointments. Insert the dilator into the anal orifice slowly up to its base while sitting on the bidet or lying on your side, indifferently before or after defecation. In case of sphincter spasm it is advisable to precede the dilation with a warm-warm bidet which has a relaxing effect on the muscles of the anal sphincters. The dilator should be kept in place for about one to three minutes and then slowly extracted. It is advisable not to get up and not to walk with the dilator inserted.

Warnings and Contraindications

The dilators can be applied lukewarm and therefore not above 50 ° C in hypertonia or painful spasm, or cold and therefore not below 0 ° C in the presence of anal bleeding. In all other cases the dilator temperature is less important.
As long as the pain persists, apply the dilator pe twice a day and continue for at least one month after the symptoms have resolved.
In anal stricture, daily applications may be required for many months.
