Therapeutic indications

Dormiplant is used as a mild sedative, also to promote night rest.

Dosage and Posology

The drug should be taken according to the following doses and methods: in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, administer 1-2 tablets to be taken 2 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. It is recommended to take it after main meals and in the evening before going to bed. The tablets should be swallowed with water.

Overdose

From the literature, which mostly considers experimental evaluations on the animal, no symptoms of intoxication are deduced; however, depressing effects on the central nervous system are likely to be admitted.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients
• Generally contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation

Side effects

Gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. nausea, abdominal cramps) may occur. The frequency is unknown.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In the literature there are no documents on possible contraindications in pregnancy or during breastfeeding; it is likely, however, that these conditions have not been explicitly investigated. As there is no data available to evaluate the pregnancy safety profile of the combination of valerian and lemon balm, the administration of Dormiplant is not recommended in pregnant or lactating women.

Special warnings

The medicine contains sucrose: Patients with rare problems of glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
