Lactulose Mylan Generics is an equivalent medicine indicated for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. It contains the active substance 'lactulose', a type of sugar that belongs to a group of medicines called laxatives, used to facilitate bowel movement.
The correct dose is the minimum sufficient to produce an easy evacuation. Take the minimum dose initially, which may be increased as needed.
The recommended dose is 1 tablespoon of syrup (15 ml = 10 g of lactulose) per day.
This medicine should be used in children only in cases of absolute necessity and on the doctor's prescription.
In children 6 to 14 years of age, the recommended starting dose is 3 teaspoons (10 g) per day, which can be reduced to one and a half teaspoons (5 g) per day for maintenance therapy.
In children from 1 to 5 years of age, the recommended dose is 1-2 coffee spoons (3-6 g) per day.
In infants, the recommended dose is 1 teaspoon (3 g) per day.
Shake the bottle before use. Take the medicine preferably in the evening. Take this medicine as infrequently as possible and for no more than 7 consecutive days. If you do not notice any improvement, please contact your doctor who will assess the situation and the possibility of prolonged treatment.
If you or someone else has taken too much Lactulose Mylan Generics or if you think a child may have accidentally taken this medicine, tell your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. An overdose of the medicine can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea, which resolve upon immediate discontinuation of treatment.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. During pregnancy and breastfeeding only take this medicine when necessary and always under direct medical supervision.

Check the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. Do not store above 25 ° C. Keep the container tightly closed.
