LITHOS
Food supplement of potassium and magnesium citrate. With sweeteners.
Ingrediants
Each 3.85 g sachet contains 14 mEq of Potassium (547 mg) and 7 mEq of Magnesium (90 mg) and 21 mEq of citrate, in a granular formulation that is dissolved in half a glass of water.
How to use
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water. We recommend taking 2 sachets a day, to be taken preferably on a full stomach.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age. Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Excessive consumption can have laxative effects.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hyperkalaemia or hypermagnesemia, or with conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations. Such conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, acute dehydration.
Interactions
The simultaneous intake of LITHOS Sachets and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could cause hyperkalaemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor the progress of potassium.
There are no known interactions with other drugs.
Hypersensitivity and undesirable effects
Rarely, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea may develop during treatment. These symptoms can be alleviated by taking LITHOS Sachets on a full stomach.
