Maalox RefluRapid is a product that reduces burning and defends the mucous membrane of the esophagus while acting to quickly reduce acid reflux. It forms a protective gel that prevents the gastric juices from escaping into the esophagus. It does not contain gluten or lactose, ideal for celiacs and intolerant to dairy products.

Indications

The non-prescription product Maalox RefluRapid contains Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Carbonate and Calcium Carbonate to ensure a triple action capable of protecting the mucous membrane of the esophagus, reducing burning and blocking acid reflux. It is designed to form a barrier-gel on the pit of the stomach that prevents the gastric juices from moving up to the esophagus. Its formulation in convenient single-dose liquid sachets is indicated to treat gastroesophageal reflux and alleviate related symptoms such as cough and laryngeal-pharyngeal inflammation, indigestion, acid regurgitation, reflux oesophagitis, heartburn and heartburn in pregnancy. Furthermore, Maalox RefluRapid contains bicarbonate which reduces stomach hyperacidity. Free of lactose and gluten, it can be taken by intolerant and celiac people from 12 years old.

How does Maalox RefluRapid work?

Maalox RefluRapid works thanks to Sodium Alginate to form a barrier on the top of the stomach in order to prevent gastric juices from rising towards the esophagus, causing hyperacidity. Its formula:

• decreases irritation and heartburn;
• defends the mucous membrane of the esophagus from the attack of gastric juices;
• it is ideal in case of gastroesophageal reflux;
• reduces cough and laryngeal pharyngeal inflammation, indigestion, acid regurgitation, reflux esophagitis, heartburn in pregnancy;
• fights stomach hyperacidity thanks to bicarbonate;
• does not contain lactose and gluten;
• it is in single-dose liquid sachets;

Method of use and dosage

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 or 2 sachets (10 ml each) of Maalox RefluRapid after main meals and at bedtime. Shake before using. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, it is recommended to see a doctor.

Warnings and Contraindications

Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components. In case of problems during use, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and protected from light.
Keep out of reach of children.
The expiry date refers to the intact and correctly stored product.
