Meteosim 40 mg Simethicone Meteorismo 50 Chewable Tablets

Chewable tablets based on simethicone.

Therapeutic indications

Meteosim is used in the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal bloating and adult aerophagia.

Dosage and Posology

The drug should be taken according to the following doses and methods: 4 tablets per day (2 at the end of each main meal). The tablets must be chewed.

Overdose

No overdose phenomena have been reported with the use of Meteosim.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Side effects

No undesirable effects due to Meteosim were highlighted.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no adequate data on the use of Meteosim in pregnant women, therefore it should not be used in pregnancy unless clearly needed and after the benefit / risk assessment by the physician.

It is not known whether simethicone is excreted in human milk. The excretion of simethicone into breast milk has not been studied in animals. A decision on whether to continue / discontinue simethicone therapy must be made taking into account the benefit of breastfeeding for the infant and the benefit of simethicone therapy for the woman.

Special warnings

Do not exceed the recommended dose. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor. The medicinal product contains lactose and is therefore not suitable for individuals with lactase deficiency, galactosemia or glucose / galactose malabsorption syndrome.

Expiration and retention

Check the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. Store the medicine in the original package protected from light and moisture.

Warning : do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package.
