Subjects suffering from diabetes or following low-calorie diets should take into account that 1 tablet of UNIVIT contains 961 , 4 mg of sucrose. Subjects who follow a low sodium diet should take into account that: 1 tablet contains 286 mg of sodium (equal to 12.5 mEq and 730 mg of cooking salt).
DOSAGE 1 tablet per day. Dissolve an effervescent tablet in a glass of water and immediately drink the solution obtained.
INTERACTIONS Ascorbic acid can interfere, in high doses, on the results of some diagnostic tests, in particular the search for glucose in the urine by non-specific means. It is therefore advisable to stop taking Vitamin C a few days before proceeding with this test.
SIDE EFFECTS Hypersensitivity reactions may occur in predisposed subjects. At higher than recommended dosages, headache and gastrointestinal disturbances have been reported.
