ALKALOS A Food supplement based on calcium citrate and vitamin D3. Useful as an adjunct in the treatment of the early stages of osteopenia and osteoporosis, it is usually linked to an integration of calcium and vitamin D3.
The calcium citrate contained in Alkalos A is more easily and more completely absorbed. Studies using the determination of calcium and radioisotope studies have shown that the calcium absorbed after an oral dose of 2000 mg of calcium carbonate is the same as that absorbed after 500 mg of calcium citrate. Furthermore, calcium citrate reduces the risk of kidney stone formation as citrate is the most important inhibitor of urinary crystallization of lithogenic salts.
Alkalos A is recommended to supplement a diet lacking in calcium and vitamin D3, while providing calcium of an alkaline nature, i.e. in the form of citrate, in order to simultaneously promote a correct acid-base balance.

Ingredients and nutritional characteristics

	for 1 tablet (1.4 g)
Calcium in the form of citrate	250 mg
Vitamin D3	300 IU
Other ingredients: anti-caking agents: microcrystalline cellulose; stearic acid; magnesium stearate; silicon dioxide; coating agents: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; shellac; dye: titanium dioxide.

How to use
It is suggested to take 1 - 2 tablets a day, preferably on an empty stomach, to promote calcium absorption. Take the tablet with a little water. The tablet can also be broken.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
