Allevyn Non Adhesive Smith & Nephew is a non-adhesive hydrocellular dressing that allows the right degree of perspiration to keep each wound at the optimal level of humidity. It is composed of a three-layered structure composed of a non-adherent layer in contact with the wound, a highly absorbent soft hydrocellular central layer and an outer layer impermeable to liquids and bacterial barrier.

Indications

The Allevyn dressing is indicated for superficial, granulating and exudative wounds, such as venous leg ulcers and pressure sores.

How does the Allevyn dressing work?

Each dressing of the Allevyn brand ensures the beneficial effects of healing in a moist environment and offers the possibility of managing large quantities of exudate, without flaking them when they come into contact with it. The result is faster, cleaner, painless and uncomplicated healing especially for those injuries that are traditionally difficult to manage. Furthermore, the central hydrocellular layer is soft and highly absorbent, while the outer layer is impermeable to liquids, thus forming a barrier.

How to use

• Open the package and take the dressing;
• Apply the dressing with the white non-adherent layer in contact with the wound;
• Secure the dressing with the aid of a plaster or bandage.

Warnings Contraindications

Do not use the dressing in conjunction with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite or hydrogen oxide solutions. These substances can damage the hydrocellular layer of the dressing. In case of sensitization or redness, stop the treatment and refer to your doctor.
