COLENORM PLUS is a nutraceutical evolution of COLENORM 10 mg. It is more effective in controlling the plasma cholesterol level, it also protects against radical oxidation and hinders the formation of atherosclerotic plaque.

When there are altered cholesterol levels, COLENORM PLUS is useful for the control of plasma cholesterol in support of a balanced diet, physical activity and a correct lifestyle. Its active ingredients are:

the fermented red rice which is obtained from the fermentation of common rice (Oryza sativa), by a particular yeast, called Monascus purpureus or red yeast. During its fermenting activity, this yeast is enriched with a group of substances, called monacolins, which have been attributed a marked cholesterol-lowering activity. Among these, the most produced is Monacolin K.

Resveratrol, a polyphenol of vegetable origin extracted from the roots of Polygonum cuspidatum, which plays an important antioxidant action and regulates the functionality of the cardiovascular system.

Policosanols (a mixture of aliphatic alcohols extracted from rice bran) whose active ingredient, OCTACOSANOL, acts on cholesterol metabolism by decreasing plasma LDL cholesterol levels and increasing HDL cholesterol levels. Policosanols also perform an important antioxidant function.

Chromium (salified as picolinate, the most bioavailable form of chromium) which supports the metabolism of sugars (carbohydrates).
