No Gravid has a Y-shaped plastic support, anatomical shape, which follows the uterine geometry. This feature allows the device to bring the contraceptive action of copper towards the bottom of the uterine cavity, and towards the tubal ostia: that is, in the points of greatest interest for intrauterine contraception.
The structure of No Gravid is in nylon material, with high resistance and high elasticity, which guarantees both the permanence in the cavity and the adaptability to the walls of the cavity itself.
The availability in five different sizes means that No Gravid can be used by all women of childbearing age, if there are no specific contraindications. Saddle uterus or bicornuate uterus are not a contraindication to the use of No Gravid.
The extractor thread used by No Gravid is of the surgical type, therefore non-porous.
Warnings
It must be applied by a surgeon.
It is advisable to remove No Gravid after three years of use, as the contraceptive efficacy may decrease; however, it is mandatory to remove No Gravid within five years from the date of application.
