Benzalkonium chloride.
EXCIPIENTS
Purified water; ethyl alcohol (95 degrees); lemon scent.
INDICATIONS
Disinfection and cleaning of damaged skin (wounds, sores, burns, etc.).
CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the components of the product or other strictly correlated substances from a chemical point of view.
DOSAGE
Use the solution without diluting. Apply 2-3 times a day directly on the injured part, dabbing briefly with sterile gauze and / or hydrophilic cotton, letting it penetrate deeply. It is not recommended to apply it to the skin under a bandage, as well as to use it for compresses.
STORAGE
Keep the bottle tightly closed in the original package to protect the product from light, heat and humidity.
WARNINGS
The product is to be used for external use only. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to phenomena of hypersensitivity. If so, discontinue treatment and institute appropriate therapy. Do not use for prolonged treatments. Ingesting or inhaling some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal consequences. The product is flammable, do not expose the container to heat sources and do not spray on a flame or incandescent body. Avoid contact with eyes and middle ear. After applying the product, avoid exposure to ultraviolet rays (sun or artificial sources).
INTERACTIONS
The benzalkonium chloride, contained in the medicine, is a cationic detergent that tends to precipitate if it comes into contact with anionic substances, such as soaps; it is therefore advisable to avoid the simultaneous use of other detergents, antiseptics and disinfectants.
SIDE EFFECTS
In some cases it is possible to experience intolerance phenomena (burning or irritation), generally transient and without consequences, which do not require modification of the treatment.
PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
There are no restrictions on use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
