EXCIPIENTS

INDICATIONS
For the treatment of mixed nematode and tapeworm infestations in cats caused by: Ascarids: Toxocara cati (syn. Mystax), Toxascarisleonina. Hookworms: Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense. Cestodes: Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Mesocestoides spp., Joyeuxiella spp ..

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to active ingredients to any of the excipients. Drontal should not be used during pregnancy. Do not use in kittens under 4 weeks of age. Do not use concomitantly with piperazine compounds.

USE / ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral.

DOSAGE
5 mg of praziquantel and 57.5 mg of pyrantelembonate per kg of body weight. This corresponds to 1 tablet for every 4 kg of body weight. The tablet can be divided as needed. Method of administration For oral administration to cats. The administration of the tablets takes place directly or by wrapping them in a piece of meat or sausage or with the feed by chopping them. No dietary measures are necessary. The use takes place in a single solution.

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

WARNINGS
In order to obtain effective parasite control, the treatment should be carried out on the basis of the results of the parasitological examination. To ensure correct dosage, animals should be weighed. Since cestode infestation in cats does not appear before the third week of life, treatment is indicated only after the third week of life. Resistance of parasites to a particular class of anthelmintics may develop as a result of frequent, repeated use of an anthelmintic of the same class. Echinococcosis represents a danger to humans. In case of echinococcosis specific guidelines must be followed for the treatment and follow-up and for the protection of people. Consult a parasitology expert or institute. Do not use in severely debilitated animals or with severe renal or hepatic impairment. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: people with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients contained in this medicine should administer the product with caution. Wash hands after use. Avoid contact with eyes. If eye irritation occurs, seek medical attention. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician. Overdose: Symptoms of overdose do not show up with doses up to 5 times the recommended dose. The first expected symptom of intoxication is vomiting.
