PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Laxatives.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Syrup: 100 ml of syrup contain cascara sagrada fluid extract 14.5 g; boldo fluid extract 4.5 g; Chinese rhubarb fluid extract 2.5 g. Coated tablets: cascara sagrada dry extract 70 mg, boldoa fragrans dry extract 20 mg, Chinese rhubarb dry extract 10mg.

EXCIPIENTS
Syrup: glycerin, methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl alcohol 96 ^, sucrose, vanilla tincture, orange dye, GM amaro, purified water. Coated tablets: precipitated silica, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, color E 124, ethylcellulose, glycerin , gum arabic, shellac, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc.

INDICATIONS
Constipation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the product. Mechanical obstruction of the biliary tract. Acute and chronic liver diseases. Gallstone disease. Hepatic insufficiency.

DOSAGE
Coated tablets: 1-2 coated tablets daily before main meals. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Syrup. Adults: one teaspoon diluted in water before each of the two main meals. Children: the dose is only one teaspoon per day, before the evening meal. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

STORAGE
No special storage precautions are required.

WARNINGS
The continued use of laxatives can cause addiction or damage of different types. Do not use laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting are present. If constipation is persistent, consult your doctor. The product in particular the syrup contains sucrose; this should be taken into account in the case of diabetes or low-calorie diets. Warnings: do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment, without noticeable results, consult your doctor. Validity of the preparation: be careful not to use the preparation after the expiry date indicated on the package. A slight precipitate on the bottom of the bottle is due to plant extracts and is not an indication of product alteration.

INTERACTIONS
They are not known.

SIDE EFFECTS
In particularly sensitive subjects, abdominal pain may arise which usually disappear with the reduction of the dosage.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
During pregnancy, the product should be taken in cases of actual need under direct medical supervision while its use during breastfeeding is not recommended because anthraquinones are partly excreted with breast milk giving it purgative properties.
