Maca, a natural source of β-ecdysone , is useful as a tonic-adaptogen in case of physical and mental fatigue. It is known in Peru as a powerful aphrodisiac and increases sexual desire in men. In women, on the other hand, it regulates menstruation and promotes vaginal lubrication.
