How does Eucerin UreaRepair Plus Body Balm 5% Urea work?

Eucerin UreaRepair Plus Body Balm 5% Urea is a regenerating and moisturizing product suitable for dry skin of the body able to restore both lipids and the amount of water in dry skin and, at the same time, give immediate relief and delay the dry skin symptoms. The skin of the body will be smoother and softer thanks to the presence in its formulation of combined ingredients such as:

• Urea , is one of the substances naturally produced by the skin to regulate its water content, called "natural hydration factors" (NFM);
• Natural Moisturizing Factors (NFM), contained in the skin also contains many other natural moisturizing factors (NMFs) in addition to Urea. These are Lactate, PCA, amino acids, salts and sugars. Like Urea, these natural moisturizing factors attract water particles and bind them in the stratum corneum, or in the upper layer of the skin, preventing it from becoming dry, flaky and damaged;
• Ceramide-3, produced by the skin to create a natural protective barrier that prevents moisture loss following evaporation, and that blocks out irritants that can cause inflammation and itching. When the concentration of ceramides in the skin decreases, skin dryness and irritation may appear. Ceramide-3 is a synthetically produced but identical molecule to the biological one that helps repair and regenerate the skin's natural barrier, to reduce water loss and prevent dryness and irritation.

How to use

Make sure your skin is clean and dry. Massage a small amount of the cream into the skin until completely absorbed.
Apply as often as needed.
