PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Antiseptics and disinfectants.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
100 ml contain: salicylic acid 1.75 g; sodium iodide 3 g.

EXCIPIENTS
Dibasic magnesium phosphate, ammonium bromide, distilled water.

INDICATIONS
Disinfection and cleaning of injured skin.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the components. Regular use is contraindicated in patients with thyroid disorders.

DOSAGE
Apply a small amount of product on the area to be treated by touching, compresses or washing. If necessary, repeat the operation 2-3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

STORAGE
Store in tightly closed containers, protected from light and heat.

WARNINGS
The product is for topical use only. Do not use together with other substances. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to establish a suitable therapy. Any stains on fabrics can be removed with simple water washing, avoid using soap. The accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious and sometimes fatal consequences. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results consult your doctor. Avoid use on excessively large surfaces. Do not apply with occlusive dressing. Avoid contact with eyes. During pregnancy and lactation use only in case of real need and under direct medical supervision.

INTERACTIONS
Avoid simultaneous use with any other product and in particular ointments and gels. Do not use under gutta-percha or other impermeable substances. Do not use mercury salts or benzoin compounds on the treated part at the same time.

SIDE EFFECTS
It is possible to occur in some cases of intolerance (burning or irritation), however without consequences, which does not require modification of the treatment. The reaction of iodine with injured tissues can delay healing. Application on extensive burns or abrasions can produce the systemic effects of iodine. It can interfere with thyroid function tests.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Use only in case of real need and under direct medical supervision. Since iodine is absorbed systemically, especially when dealing with extensive ulcers, it is contraindicated in pregnancy and during lactation; in fact the absorbed iodine can cross the placental barrier and be excreted with the milk.
