Description

A single application of Frontline spot on protects the animal from new infestations by ticks, fleas and lice, in particular:

from ticks: up to 1 month after treatment

from fleas: up to 3 months after treatment

Directions

Fipronil, the active ingredient of Frontline, eliminates fleas within 24 hours; ticks and lice within 48 hours of infestation. To be used against infestations by fleas, ticks and biting lice.

Fipronil rapidly exerts its lethal action on ticks, preventing the development of the parasite and the possible transmission of infections of which the tick is vector. It is active against the main species of ticks present on the national territory, including Ixodes ricinus, responsible for the transmission of Lyme disease to dogs and humans.

Fipronil acts on fleas by rapidly killing the adult forms, thus preventing the deposition of eggs and therefore new infestations. Thanks to the lethal action on adult fleas, fipronil effectively contributes to the control and resolution of Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD) which, in dogs, is caused by the sensitizing action exerted by the antigens contained in the saliva of these parasites.

Furthermore, fipronil, with a single treatment, controls and resolves lice infestations quickly and definitively, in particular those caused by Trichodectes canis, the chewing louse of dogs.

Method of administration

Break off the pre-cut end of the pipette.

Apply the product on the skin of the interscapular area, an area where the dog cannot lick itself, avoiding the removal of the product.

The contents of the pipette must be applied directly to the skin and not to the hair: press on the walls of the pipette until completely empty (as per explanatory illustrations).

Fipronil diffuses into the epidermis, concentrating in the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles, in the 24 hours following application.

Posology

One single-dose pipette of 2.68 ml for dogs weighing from 20 to 40 kg, corresponding to the minimum recommended dose of 6.7 mg/kg of fipronil.
