PIDO-FER, iron pidolate, is a ferrous salt of pidolic acid or L-PCA, obtained from the cyclization of L-glutamic acid, an amino acid of plant origin, with a thermal process without the use of solvents or chemicals.
L-PCA is a substance naturally present in the body in numerous tissues and biological fluids where it performs various physiological functions.
Given its physiological properties, L-PCA is recognized by the human organism and acts as a vector that allows the elements associated with it to cross biological barriers more easily and more quickly.
