How does Marco Viti Liquid Paraffin FU (Vaseline oil) work?

Marco Viti Liquid Paraffin is a transparent, colorless, odorless, oily and water insoluble liquid, which acts as a lubricant for the stool, making it soft in consistency. Liquid paraffin, in fact, by coating the fecal material and reducing the absorption of fecal water, causes a softening of the stool. Furthermore, it lubricates the stool, facilitating their passage inside the intestine, without irritating the mucous membrane.

Method of use and dosage

The correct dose of the laxative is the minimum sufficient to produce an easy evacuation of soft stools. It is advisable to initially use the minimum doses provided. When necessary, the dose can be increased, but never exceed the maximum indicated. For a correct dosage, use the measuring cup attached to the calibrated package for multiples of 5 ml up to 30 ml.

• Adults: 5 to 30 ml.
• Children over 3 years of age: 5 to 20 ml.

Take preferably after the evening meal, so that the effect of the laxative, which occurs after 6/8 hours, does not disturb sleep.
Do not take immediately before going to bed; leave at least one hour after taking the medicine before going to bed.

Warnings and Contraindications

Contraindicated in subjects with difficulty in swallowing or who have pathologies or conditions that involve the risk of regurgitation.
Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not exceed the indicated daily dose.
Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age.
