Mepitac SILICONE FIXING PATCH
Indications:
designed for fixing products such as drains, catheters, electrodes, cannulas and dressings. Mepitac also guarantees protection of the underlying skin such as catheters. Ideal fixation solution for patients with fragile and sensitive skin and is particularly suitable for use on patients who require repeated removals and applications in the same area such as neonates and dialysis patients.
How to use:
make sure the skin is clean, dry and free of ointments;
cut to the desired length;
remove the protective film and apply the patch;
if the area needs to be inspected, lift the patch and reapply it.
Warnings:
it is not suitable for fixing arterial catheters and cannulas. The adhesive power may decrease if used in particularly humid conditions, such as in incubators or if used on patients with intense sweating or fever.
