Metagenics FerroDyn HI Iron Supplement 30 Capsules

Highly bioavailable bivalent iron supplement. The reduced form of iron is conjugated to 2 molecules of glycine amino acid to form iron bisglycinate. The neutral electrical polarity of the molecule makes it particularly well tolerated on the gastrointestinal level. The bisglycinate form of iron is absorbed by a different transport mechanism than minerals and over a very long jejunum, whereby the absorption of Ferrodyn is complete and independent of the stomach pH. The intake of Ferrodyn can also be done simultaneously with sources of calcium and other divalent minerals without interfering with the absorption.
The addition of Vitamin B9 allows to have a synergistic action on the energy metabolism, the production of red blood cells and the contrast to tiredness and fatigue. Folate is supplied in a proprietary chemical form (Metafolin) that is readily bioavailable and capable of crossing the blood-brain and placental barrier. The addition of Vitamin B6 promotes the production of red blood cells. Vitamin B6 is also in its active form pyridoxal-5 phosphate, immediately available without the need for transformation.
