Vaginal suppositories based on miconazole nitrate.

Therapeutic indications

Miconal Ovuli Vaginali is used in the treatment of vaginal or vulvo-vaginal fungal infections, especially Candida.

Dosage and posology

Miconal Vaginal Ovules should be taken in the following doses and modalities: 2 vaginal ovules / day.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported.

Contraindications

• Individual hypersensitivity to the product or to other closely related compounds from a chemical point of view

Side effects

Various complaints have been reported in the first weeks of miconazole therapy: vaginal burning and irritation, pelvic cramps, more rarely skin rashes and headache. In these cases it is necessary to interrupt the treatment and institute a suitable therapy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnant women, the product should be used only in case of real need and under direct medical supervision.

Special warnings

Prolonged use of the drug can give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, treatment must be stopped and appropriate therapy instituted.
