Cream based on miconazole nitrate.

Therapeutic indications

Miconal Dermatological Cream 2% is used in the local treatment of skin and nail infections caused by dermatophytes or Candida.

Dosage and posology

Miconal Dermatological Cream 2% should be taken in the following doses and methods: 1-2 applications / day.

  • Skin infections : Before applying Miconal Morgan (miconazole nitrate) to skin lesions, the infected area must be washed and dried well. Then, apply 1 cm or more of the cream on the injured area, once-twice a day, spread gently, letting it penetrate, rubbing until the cream is completely absorbed. After the lesions have disappeared, usually for 2 to 5 weeks, the treatment should be continued for at least another 2 days, to prevent any relapses. If the lesions are exuding, Miconal Morgan powder (miconazole nitrate) should also be used.
  • Nail infections : infected nails must first be cut as short as possible, washed and dried before applying Miconal Morgan cream (miconazole nitrate). Apply a little cream 1-2 times a day on the infected nail, then massage with your fingers. Then cover the area with a non-perforated occlusive dressing. It is necessary to regularly cut the dead parts and detach them with a nail clipper, keeping the nail bed and the edges of the nails clean. The treatment must be continued uninterrupted even after the fall of the infected nail (usually after 2-3 weeks) and for the entire time of growth of the new nail (from 2 to 3 months) and until the final clinical and mycological recovery.
