TRANSPARENT STERILE POLYURETHANE DRESSING

Indications:
- superficial wounds, such as superficial pressure sores, superficial burns, cuts or abrasions;
- prophylaxis of pressure sores, protection of the periwound skin, protection of the contact points of the leg urine collection bags;
- ulcers of the lower limb in the final phase of healing;
- use as a secondary dressing, to relieve pain in the case of painful diabetic neuropathies.

How to use:
wash hands before and after treating the injury.
Gently cleanse the wound by removing any fragments and dry the surrounding skin. Do not apply on particularly bleeding wounds.
Remove the dressing from the package.
Remove the protective sheet marked 1, taking care not to touch the adhesive side.
Apply the dressing to the wound with light pressure.
Remove the protective sheet marked 2 and press on the edges to adhere the dressing.
If required, trace the wound margin on the monitoring grid.
Remove the grid and place it in the patient's medical record.
To remove the dressing, lift one corner and pull parallel to the skin to release the adhesive.

Features:
transparent, adhesive, moisture permeable, conformable and stretchable dressing. It is clinically tested to allow healing in a humid environment especially in the case of superficial wounds. It can be used effectively as a secondary dressing and to prevent pressure sores from forming.

Warnings:
It can be applied to clinically infected wounds if the following precautions are followed:
- the patient must undergo the necessary medical supervision;
- the dressing must be changed daily.
- the patient must undergo the necessary systemic treatment.
In the case of immunocompromised and diabetic patients, further monitoring may be necessary. It is necessary to pay the utmost attention to avoid epidermal damage in the case of repeated applications or in the case of patients with thin or fragile skin.
