EXCIPIENTS
Lactose monohydrate, corn starch, anhydrous colloidal silica, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium amylopecting glycolate (degree of substitution from 0.2 to 0.4), magnesium stearate.

INDICATIONS
Fenbendazole is indicated in dogs for the treatment of infestations of: mature stage roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina); hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) mature stages; whipworm (Trichuris vulpis) mature stages; cestodes (Taenia pisiformis) mature stages; giardia. In cats for the following infestations: roundworms (Toxocara mystax) mature stages; hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) immature and mature stages; cestodes (Taenia hydatigena) mature stages It is advisable to repeat the treatment against roundworms and cestodes taking into account the development cycle of the dalarva parasite at the mature stage.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

USE / ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral.

DOSAGE
Administration should be carried out orally. To ensure administration of a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. The recommended dosage for dogs and cats is 50 mg fenbendazole / kg body weight / day. 1/2 tablet (= 250 mg of fenbendazole) per 5 kg of body weight. 1 tablet (= 500 mg of fenbendazole) per 10 kg of body weight. The treatment must be repeated for 3 consecutive days. Treatment of dogs: crush the tablets and mix them with food. It is also possible to dissolve the tablets with a little water and mix everything with the food. Treatment of cats: dissolve the tablets with a little water and mix with food. It is advisable to administer the tablets by mixing them with a first part of the daily food ration in order to ensure their complete intake. It is not recommended to administer tablets as such or dissolved in water to fasted animals to avoid a possible decrease in efficacy. Avoid giving milk at the same time.

STORAGE
Store the product at a temperature not exceeding +30 degrees C.

WARNINGS
The tablets have a neutral taste. For both animal species, in order to obtain effective control of gastrointestinal nematodes, tapeworms and giardiasis in dogs, treatment should be carried out on the basis of the results of the parasitological examination on the faeces. Care should be taken to avoid the following practices which may increase the risk of resistance development and may ultimately result in ineffective therapy: too frequent and repeated use of anthelmintics of the same class, for too long a period of time; underdosing of the product, which may be due to an underestimation of the animal's body weight, to an incorrect administration of the veterinary medicinal product or to a loss of calibration of the dispenser. To help delay the development of resistance, users are advised to verify the success of treatment (eg by checking clinical appearance, stool egg count). Suspected clinical cases of anthelmintic resistance should be further investigated using appropriate tests (e.g. Faecal Egg Count Reduction Tests). In the event that the results of the test (s) clearly indicate resistance to a particular anthelmintic, an anthelmintic belonging to another pharmacological class and with a different mechanism of action must be used. Do not administer the product to animals intended for human consumption. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: wash hands after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke during administration. This veterinary medicinal product can be toxic if ingested by humans. This product can cause hypersensitivity reactions. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Always wear protective gloves while handling the veterinary medicinal product. In case of contact with skin and / or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Remove clothing contaminated by the product.

SIDE EFFECTS
In cats, in very rare cases, vomiting or mild diarrhea may occur. In dogs, gastrointestinal disturbances (such as vomiting or mild diarrhea) may occur in rare cases or allergic reactions in very rare cases.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Do not use in pregnant animals. In the absence of studies on the target species, during lactation use only according to the benefit / risk assessment.
