EXCIPIENTS
Vaginal solution: propylene glycol, lactic acid, phenoxyethol eundecylenoyl (5) OE p-oxybenzoates, ricinoleyl alcohol (40) OE, purified water. 400 mg vaginal capsules: paraffin oil, white petroleum jelly, gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide, sodium ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium propyl p-hydroxybenzoate. 1200mg vaginal capsules: paraffin oil, white petroleum jelly, soy leticin, gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide, sodium ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium propylp-hydroxybenzoate. Gynecological cream: ethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol palmitostearate, polyoxyethylenated glycolysed glycerides, liquid paraffin, butylhydroxyanisole, benzoic acid, purified water.

INDICATIONS
Vaginal solution: adjuvant in the therapy of vulvo-vaginal infections from Candida, even if superinfected by Gram-positive germs; it can also be used after other topical or oral therapy, in order to reduce the risk of relapses. Vaginal capsules, gynecological cream: Candida vulvo-vaginal infections. Due to its antibacterial action on Gram-positive bacteria, the drug can be used for the treatment of mycoses with superinfections by these microorganisms. It generally exerts a rapid action on the itching that often accompanies infections caused by dermatophytes and Candida and this even before the onset of the curative action.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to other imidazole derivatives or to any of the excipients.

DOSAGE
Vaginal solution: in the morning apply the lavender into the vagina using the entire bottle. The daily applications can be prolonged in the opinion of the doctor, beyond the normal 5-6 days of therapy. Vaginal capsules of 400 mg: for 3 days introduce one capsule deeply into the vagina in the evening before bedtime. 1200 mg vaginal capsules: introduce one capsule deeply into the vagina, in the evening before bedtime. The treatment can be repeated in case of relapses. If the symptoms are particularly florid and in pregnant patients, given the presence of the predisposing factor (pregnancy), it is advisable to prescribe from the beginning 2 days with the 1200mg capsules. The complete treatment must also be practiced in the course of a very rapid disappearance of the symptoms of the disease and will also be continued during the menstrual period. Gynecological cream: introduce once a day, deeply into the vagina, in the evening before going to bed, the contents of the applicator (5g of cream). The treatment must be continued for at least 10 days, even if itching and leucorrhoea have already disappeared. In case of no effect it is advisable to repeat the microbiological tests to confirm the diagnosis.

STORAGE
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

WARNINGS
The use of latex condoms or diaphragms during treatment with anti-infective vaginal preparations may decrease the effectiveness of latex contraceptives. Therefore Prilagin should not be used at the same time as condoms or latex diaphragms.

INTERACTIONS
No interaction studies have been performed.

SIDE EFFECTS
In the first weeks of miconazole therapy, disorders such as vaginal burning and irritation, pelvic cramps, rarely skin rashes and headache may arise. The reporting of suspected adverse reactions that occur after the authorization of the drug is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit / risk ratio of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
In case of pregnancy, the product should be used only in case of real need and under medical supervision.
