Food supplement based on Prickly Pear, Olive, Polyphenols, Licorice, Mint, Kiwi and Actinidin, useful for all problems related to the digestive system

The digestive system is the set of organs and structures responsible for the intake, processing and absorption of food and for the elimination of undigested parts of food (residues).

It consists of a series of hollow organs and the attached glands: it begins with the mouth and continues with the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (cecum, colon, rectum) and ends with the 'anus; along its path, moreover, it is accompanied by the salivary glands, the liver, the gallbladder and the pancreas.

STOMACH

Organ aimed at the digestion of food. Connected superiorly to the esophagus and inferiorly to the duodenum (first tract of the small intestine), the function is to produce substances useful for digestion, hydrochloric acid and pepsin (enzyme for the digestion of proteins). Anatomically it is divided into the cardia or esophageal sphincter (entrance), bottom (upper part), body (central part), pylorus or pyloric antrum (exit). The esophageal sphincter regulates the access of food from the esophagus and prevents its reflux (ascent into the esophagus), while the pyloric sphincter regulates the outlet of food into the small intestine.

STOMACH DEFENSE SYSTEMS

Why don't pepsins also attack stomach cell proteins? Fortunately, the stomach defends itself: its wall produces a mucus that protects and lubricates it, and a substance, bicarbonate , which by locally neutralizing the hydrochloric acid prevents the proteases from acting; in fact, the proteases are activated in an acidic environment, the presence of bicarbonate which is a base prevents their activation.

When there is heartburn or acidity in the stomach it means that excess acid has been produced which 'annoys' the stomach cells. Under certain conditions, however, the neutralization of hydrochloric acid does not work perfectly. Then the excess acidity present in the stomach or duodenum can cause a lesion in the wall of these organs that does not heal spontaneously (ulcer).

GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX

Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD or GERD) is a condition in which the gastrointestinal contents travel up the esophagus, causing burning behind the breastbone and acid regurgitation.

SYMPTOMS:

Typical symptoms of the disease are:

Burning behind the breastbone (so-called retrosternal heartburn ) Acid regurgitation (feeling of bitter or acidic fluid in the mouth)

Symptoms can occur continuously throughout the day, or intermittently. For example, reflux can occur upon waking, after meals and during the night (typically from midnight to 3am) or only in a lying position and while leaning forward (e.g. while tying your shoes).

The "atypical" symptoms are:

Feeling of a lump in the throat with difficulty swallowing; Digestive difficulties, nausea; Chronic laryngitis, cough, hoarseness, lowering of the voice; Hiccup; Asthma; Chest pain (similar to that of a cardiac nature); Otitis media; Insomnia.

Apart from the annoying symptoms, uncontrolled gastroesophageal reflux leads in the long run to a condition of chronic irritation of the inner lining of the esophagus (mucosa) causing inflammation (esophagitis) which can be limited only to the lower part of the bowel up to extend, in the most serious cases, to the entire bowel reaching also the pharynx.

Long-standing esophagitis, when left untreated, can become complicated with evolution into metaplasia; this condition, called Barrett's esophagus, increases the risk of developing esophageal adenocarcinoma.

GASTRITIS

Gastritis is an inflammation of the inner lining (mucous membrane) of the stomach that can be limited to one area or spread to the whole bowel (pangastritis). At the base of the mechanism that causes gastritis there is usually an imbalance between the amount of gastric juices (which contain hydrochloric acid) secreted in excess and the reduction in the production of protective mucus. This causes a continuous attack of acidic juices on the gastric mucosa which creates a continuous irritative stimulus on the organ walls.

SYMPTOMS

Gastritis manifests itself with generic symptoms:

epigastric pain of varying degrees (in the upper abdomen area, under the breastbone); slow digestion (dyspepsia); abdominal bloating after meals; nausea; He retched.

Dyspepsia: The term dyspepsia refers to a condition summarily described by the patient as "indigestion".

Typical symptoms of dyspepsia are located in the upper abdomen and include:

heartburn; acid regurgitation; Belching; Halitosis; pain in the upper abdomen; sense of long and laborious digestion; intolerance to fat, fried, meat and eggs

RECOMMENDED DOSE AND METHOD OF USE: It is recommended to take 1 sachet of 10 ml after each of the two main meals or 1 sachet in the evening before going to bed. Shake the contents of the sachet by exerting a slight pressure on the walls, then open it and take the contents directly.
