Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon)
The main use of Cranberry is to prevent recurrent urinary tract infections, due to the high content of Proanthocyanidins. It is known that uropathogenic bacteria colonizing the bladder epithelium facilitate the subsequent development of an infectious process, thanks to the adhesive capacity of the P fimbriae, filaments present on the walls of uropathogenic bacteria. It has been shown that Proanthocyanidins extracted from Blueberry (PACs A and not PACs B) are responsible for inhibiting the adhesive capacity of type P fimbria, thus blocking the bacterial adhesion process to uroepithelial cells.
The Cranberry extract is also able to lower the urinary pH, making the engraftment of uropathogens even more difficult.
Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.)
The beneficial properties attributable to Pomegranate are for the most part connected to its content rich in phenolic substances, in particular Ellagic acid, with a high antioxidant power, of phytoestrogens. Numerous beneficial properties have been attributed to the Pomegranate, by virtue of the substances it contains, including antibacterial activity and antioxidant activity; moreover, recent studies have confirmed encouraging effects on the maintenance of correct prostatic function.

How to use
As an adjunct to drug therapy after an episode of acute cystitis: 2 sachets 2 times a day for seven days. As a food compendium in the prevention of recurrence of cystitis: 1 sachet 2 times a day (even in a single dose) for seven days a month. It should be taken by dissolving the sachet in plenty of fresh water, preferably between meals and with an empty bladder (for example in the evening before going to bed). While using Rubis, it is advisable to take an abundant amount of water (1.5-2 liters per day) to favor the elimination of any bacteria present, with an adequate urinary flow.

Warnings
Do not take during pharmacological treatments with oral anticoagulants (Vitamin K antagonists eg Warfarin-Cumadin). As a precaution, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
