Symptomatic treatment of constipation, powder for oral solution.

Dosage and method of use
SaniPeg 10 g:
suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.
- 1 to 4 sachets per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for smooth evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125 ml of water or other liquid and take immediately.
It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if you have to take 1 sachet per day. If you take more sachets, divide the intake between morning and evening. If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
SaniPeg 4 g:
suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 12.
- from 2 to 4 years: 1-2 sachets per day;
- from 5 to 11 years: 2-4 sachets per day.

In the absence of restoration of the physiological intestinal regularity after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Features
CE product. Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by retaining it in the faeces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to water and electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

Warnings
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Administration to children should be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Do not use if package is opened or damaged.
There is insufficient information on the use of SaniPeg during pregnancy or breastfeeding, therefore its use in such circumstances should only be done under medical supervision.
The product can reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of medicinal products for oral use.
It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of simultaneous intake of medicinal products for oral use, which must in any case be administered at a distance of at least 2 hours.
In case of unwanted reactions, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.

Contraindications
Do not take SaniPeg in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components.
- Intestinal perforation, obstruction or stricture.
- Paralytic ileus.
- Severe inflammatory bowel diseases (eg ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in case of acute abdominal pain or of unknown origin, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in case of severe dehydration.
Certain gastrointestinal disorders (stomach pain, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea and fecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking too much SANIPEG and can be avoided by decreasing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported rarely following the use of products containing macrogol.

storage
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and away from heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the product correctly stored, in unopened package.

A 10 g sachet contains: 10 g macrogol, sucralose.
