The probiotic component is made up of gastro-resistant freeze-dried lactic ferments, selected from the most competitive species against pathogenic intestinal bacteria. Each sachet or 2 tablets of Simbiox provides no less than 6 billion live cells of Lactobacillus acidophilus La14, Bifidobacterium longum Bl04.
The prebiotic component consists of oligofructose, a soluble vegetable fiber that crosses the stomach and small intestine unchanged and reaches the colon where it becomes nourishment for the lactic ferments, in particular of the bifidobacteria, of which it selectively increases the development.
The lactic ferments contained are protected by a protein matrix that allows them to overcome the barrier of gastric juices and bile acids and reach the intestine with a high degree of activity.
