Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.), A perennial plant native to Asia, is used in modern herbal medicine as a support to the digestive function (in case of belching, heartburn, flatulence), to regulate gastro-intestinal motility and elimination of gas. The use of ginger is also indicated in case of nausea for example for motion sickness (travel by car, ship, etc). Ginger also promotes joint function and counteracts localized states of tension.
