Food supplement based on natural vitamin D (vitamin D3 extracted from fish liver oil). Vitamin D is synthesized in the skin following sun exposure and its synthesis can be reduced in particular during the winter months, when exposure to sunlight is modest.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, minerals useful for neuromuscular function and bone mineralization. It therefore contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. Vitamin D also promotes the physiological functioning of the immune system and a correct inflammatory response and supports regular muscle function.
Natural Vita D3 Indications
Vitamin D is necessary for the growth, development and maintenance of bones and teeth in children and adults. In its most active form, vitamin D acts in synergy with calcium to control bone formation. Vitamin D is also important as a support for cartilage. Studies aimed at determining the role of vitamin D in osteoarthritis have shown that it counteracts the degradation of cartilage. Vitamin D is a powerful immunostimulant. Preliminary evidence indicates that vitamin D deficiency may be related to an increased incidence of influenza.
Dosage and method of use
Swallow 1 pearl a day, with water, preferably with a meal.
Warnings
Vitamin D should not be taken in combination with digitalis (for the risk of arrhythmia), thiazide diuretics (for the risk of hypercalcaemia) or calcitonin (vitamin D could reduce the effect of the drug).
