Methylsulfonylmethane * (MSM) is an organic sulfur-based compound (contains about 34% sulfur) naturally present in many varieties of fruit and vegetables but which degrades easily during cooking and food preparation. Sulfur is present in keratins, fundamental proteins for the constitution of nails and hair. It is also physiologically present at the joint level, being part of the chondroitin sulfate, a precious constituent molecule of cartilage.
