TransAct Lat Anti-inflammatory Patches 40mg/10 Patches

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for topical use.

Active principles
Flurbiprofen.

Excipients
Tartaric acid, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), kaolin, sodium caramelose, mint essence, glycerol, isopropyl myristate, sodium polyacrylate, polysorbate 80, sorbitan sesquioleate. Polyester support with protective polypropylene film, to be removed before use.

Indications
Local symptomatic treatment of painful states affecting the musculoskeletal system.

Contraindications / secondary effects
Patients with known hypersensitivity '(asthma, urticaria or allergic type) towards aspirin or other NSAIDs. Flurbiprofen is also contraindicated in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID treatments. Flurbiprofen should not be taken by patients with active or anamnestic ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, recurrent peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding (defined as two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure. The administration of flurbiprofen is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy

Dosage
Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration of treatment needed to control symptoms. Use only on the skin. After having thoroughly washed and dried the painful area, grasp the two shorter sides of the patch with both hands and pull lightly in the opposite direction as indicated by the arrows. This will cause the protective film in the center of the patch to lift. Remove the protective film and apply the adhesive side directly to the skin. In the event that it must be applied to joints with greater mobility, such as the elbow or knee, it is advisable to use a retention bandage to be applied to the flexed joint. Apply only one medicated plaster at a time on the affected area every 12 hours. Place the patch safely to avoid accidental ingestion.
