COMPONENTS AND PROPERTIES:

Diosmin: belongs to the family of Bioflavonoids; pharmaceutical studies have shown that diosmin before absorption is transformed in the intestine by the bacterial flora in its aglycone: Diosmetina. Diosmetina , more liposoluble, is absorbed in the intestine, once in circulation, it carries out the known activities of reducing capillary permeability, increasing venous tone and lymphatic flow; another important activity is the anti-inflammatory one. The anti- inflammatory activity is based on the inhibition of lipoxygenase synthesis; blocking the anti-inflammatory process has the direct consequence of reducing edema.

Hesperidin: belongs to the family of Bioflavonoids; it has a capillary-protective action, making interstitial collagen more stable, inhibiting the formation of lysosomal enzymes, responsible for damage to the endothelial wall.

Rutin: belongs to the family of Bioflavonoids and is a substance known for its trophic properties on the microcirculation: by binding to the vessel wall it helps to strengthen it and regulate its permeability . Its action is emphasized by the presence of the Coumarin of the Sweet Clover. The reference literature also documents its antioxidant activity.

Coumarin (from Sweet Clover): the trophic properties on the venous-lymphatic system of Sweet Clover extract are mainly due to its content of Coumarin, a molecule which, thanks to its direct action on the smooth muscles of the lymphatic vessels and stimulation of activity A proteolytic of macrophages, it shows a marked anti- edematous activity. It is in fact able to act on edemigenic liquids with a high protein component by means of an enzymatic cleavage mechanism of the proteins localized in the perivasal interstitium and cause of the chronic recall of water from the blood capillaries. Bromelain : bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from pineapple used for a broad spectrum of action, including: reversible inhibition of platelet coagulation and thrombophlebitis. Its activity is carried out through an inhibition of the aggregation process. The anticoagulant effect is also supported by the hydrolytic activity of bromelain on fibrinogen and the ability to inhibit its synthesis, in this sense it is able to solubilize any thrombosis and be a valuable aid in treatments against varicose veins. The fibrinolytic activity is attributed to an increase in the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, which limits the coagulation process operated by the degraded fibrin. Bromelain appears to have a good effect, both direct and indirect, in the anti-inflammatory action. In one study, bromelain was identified as one of the most potent anti -inflammatories tested. Bromelain is also able to amplify the effect of the coumarins of Sweet Clover, improving their absorption; in fact the effect caused by the enzyme is to modify the permeability of the tissues of the various organs to this substance.
