PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Guaifenesin.

EXCIPIENTS
Sucrose, sodium saccharin, propylene glycol, ethanol (96%), sodium citrate, anhydrous citric acid, carmellose sodium, polyethylene oxide, honey / ginger flavor 198628, verbena flavor PHL 145439, levomentol, macrogol stearate, sodium benzoate (E211) , purified water.

INDICATIONS
Fluidifier in acute and chronic affections of the bronchial system.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

DOSAGE
Adults and children over 12 years: 15 ml (equivalent to 3 teaspoons of coffee). Children from 6 to 11 years: 10 ml (equivalent to 2 coffee spoons). Children from 2 to 5 years: 5 ml (equivalent to 1 teaspoon). These doses can be repeated every 4 hours, up to 6 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C.

WARNINGS
In case of determination of 5-hydroxy-indole-acetic and vanilmandelic acid, guaifenesin can cause a false positive result. Do not administer to children younger 'less than two years. The product contains sucrose, which should be taken into account in case of diabetic low-calorie diets. Patients with chronic or persistent cough, such as that which occurs due to asthma, smoking, bronchitis, and emphysema should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. The medicine contains sucrose; 30 mg of sodium in 15 ml; 5 vol% ethanol (alcohol). It can be harmful to those suffering from alcoholism. SIDE EFFECTS
Allergic manifestations with itching, redness, erythema can be found in subjects hypersensitive to the components. Gastrointestinal disorders which may include symptoms such as: nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may rarely occur with guaifenesin.
