WARNINGS
Trichloroacetic acid is a caustic and corrosive agent that can cause irreversible damage. In case of contact with eyes or skin, wash immediately and abundantly with running water. If necessary, consult your doctor. Avoid use for prolonged periods on the same area of skin. Due to the corrosivity of the medicinal product, considerable burns may occur in the uncontrolled application areas. If applied with a cotton swab, remove excess liquid from this on an absorbent material. Since trichloroacetic acid is strongly caustic and corrosive, it is necessary to use the utmost caution in applying it, avoiding inhaling the medicine and its contact with eyes, mucous membranes and intact skin. Do not mix with strong bases, alcoholates or amines. Particular caution should be exercised when administering trichloroacetic acid to pregnant and lactating women.

INTERACTIONS
Do not use with strong bases, alcoholates and amines as strong heat can develop.

SIDE EFFECTS
General disorders and conditions relating to the site of administration: due to the corrosivity of the medicinal product, considerable burns may occur in the areas of application.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
There are no adequate data from the use of trichloroacetic acid in pregnant women. The potential risk for humans is not known. Studies conducted on animals, in which trichloroacetic acid was administered orally, have shown reproductive toxicity. Therefore, caution should be exercised when prescribing the drug to pregnant women. Breastfeeding There are no data on the use of trichloroacetic acid during breastfeeding and it is not known whether this active ingredient is excreted in breast milk. However, since the absorption of the drug can be considered negligible, it is very unlikely that significant quantities reach the breast milk. Caution should be exercised in prescribing the drug during breastfeeding.
